About the Neighbourhood

This is the oldest neighborhood of Buenos Aires with colonial buildings and cobblestone streets. It has an abundance of character countless antique shops. Museums, old churches and a Sunday Market around plaza Dorrego that will fascinate visitors with street theatre and tango shows on every corner. The area has some of the most elegant buildings in BA but sadly much of it is falling into disrepair. Many developers have begun restoring the old buildings to there former glory, but many of the old buildings are simply squatted and will in the end be demolished.
